Default Trunk Flooding

I have a 2007 Mini Cooper S, I bought it used and it has about 30k on it. I live in Florida where it rains a lot and have noticed that when it begins to rain really hard the trunk of my car floods. I checked out the seals and everything seems to look good. The rest of the car is dry, I really don't know where it is coming from. If anyone that could help me solve this problem I would be very happy.
Thanks

Well it goes without saying that there is leak ... NOW you have to find it ....
I'd suggest going to a quarter car wash and lay down in the trunk with a flashlight and have someone else spray down the car till you can see where the water is coming from then figure whats wrong or where the leak is ...

with the year ect you might still have warranty , let the dealer find/fix it for you

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try that! And you are right the entire car is under warranty, Do you think that If I take it to the dealer and describe to them the problem that they will be able to fix it without me having to first identify the leak?

Hi PogoBoy, I too have a 2007 Mini Cooper S and am having the same issue you were. Did you ever find out where the leak was? I'm hoping to save myself a lot of time with a flashlight and a friend! Thanks.

Check the to cassette where the water drains in the corners. Sunroof drain tubes. They can clog with debris and such. There are two in the front and two in the rear. #2 and #3 in pics.

Also if they are clean and look ok the drain tube might be leaking. You have to get behind the headliner and D pillars to see, in the back. Check the front one also , both front and rear tube can sometimes detach and then leak.

Here is hold to on the gen 1 MINI R50 R53, but its the same mostly for gen 2 R56+
