Why does my 2008 MCS take forever to warm up?
2008 MCS pretty much bone stock... I drive my grandson to school every morning and while there were no complaints in the warmer months, now that the outside temps are at freezing in the morning here in Western Mass, he's noted more than once that its pretty cold in the car on our short ride. He's just 6 and by law he has to sit in the back in a booster seat.
The car sits outside every night, and since its a 6-speed, I don't have an remote starter (which I may look into anyway). But our trip is about 15 minutes from house to drop off at the school, and I'm still blowing cold air when I get back! So I need to know if this is typical, or should I look into changing the thermostat or blocking the radiator or whatever. Is it typical, or am I just screwing up the max heater controls? I get in the car and I set it at "HI" on the temp, plus I click on the defroster so that it throws air at the window and through the dash vents.
If there's an easy fix LOL... tell me about it!
