My wife has an 08 clubman that seems to be developing a few little issues.
Ive just literally replaced the rear barn door lock and now the side half door (to get into the rear seats) has stopped working.

Ive tried taking the door cards off but a youtube search shows that the larger lower (black) panel is screwed in behind the smaller grey panel.
That smaller panel is then screwed in at the top which would be easy to undo....if i could get the door open.

Ive followed a vid of how to get the door open but that video seemee to be relevant if the handle mechanism isnt working. Mine seems to be working as it's pulling the cable behind the black panel which leads up towards the catch at roof level, it just wont release at the top where the catch is for some reason.
Can anyone help me figure out how to get this door open?




And then my next couple of jobs:
1. How do you replace the gas struts on the rear doors?
2. The sumo gasket has a slight weep to it. Do i have to undo the exhaust to replace this or can i drop the sump with the exhaust in place?
