Default Mini Recall-is mine affected?

90,000 Mini Cooper S cars are being recalled this month for what has been described as overheating of the turbo due to an auxiliary water pump failure. Apparently, this can burn out the circuit board and start a fire. Mine is a 2011 S Clubman with a supercharger, not a turbo. Mini says mine is not mentioned in the recall, but mine overheated and stopped on I-95 recently and I smelled a burning smell. Mini says it was a stuck thermostat. This was accompanied by a lot of very weird electrical events (clicking sounds, flashers working only intermittantly, etc.) Can anyone help explain or shed any light on this?
