Default New guy with a new car and tons of questions

All right here goes, I picked up a clubman for a song. Clutch is fried and previous owner was a mess. I’m working on getting myself motivated enough to actually pull off doing the clutch. In the meantime I’m cleaning the interior thoroughly (you don’t want to know the things I’ve found in there…).

in doing this I’ve started looking into putting in some of the factory options that it doesn’t have. Since I pulled the dash apart for cleaning, I acquired a switch set that has both the heated seats and two for light switches.

so this leads me to a number of questions. First, does the wiring already exist for the heated seats in the vehicle? In other words, can I install the switches, replace the seats with heated ones, and flash the computer and it’ll work? Or is there a harness section I need to go back to the junkyard and get?

second question is about the switches themselves. originally the car has a single switch with the fog light symbol. The parts car I got the heated seat switches from had all 5 toggle switches but two of them have the fog light symbol. So was the second switch for rally lights? (The car didn’t have them installed when I got to it so I don’t know of it had them) or is that switch for something else? Off it odd foot the really lights, again is the rest of the harness in place somewhere and I just need the lights to install or do I need more harness for them?

I’m sure I’ll have more questions later but this is a start. Since the interior is where I’m at right now until the clutch gets in.
