Timing Chain Replacement
Everything was going smoothly - and then.... could not find the hole. When trying to put the special tool to lock the flywheel in place, there was no hole to be found. I have ground down the pin to as small as I dare and still unable to get it to set. It is not the original clutch and pressure plate in the vehicle so I am guessing that this may be the problem. The aftermarket pressure plate might not have the hole in it that is required to align everything. Are there any other methods to ensure that the pistons and valves are aligned properly before installing the new timing chain? My guess is it could get expensive if things are not aligned properly and would like to not go down that road. Appreciate any information that anyone could provide.
