04 mini fuel pump problem

Default 04 mini fuel pump problem
I replaced the fuel pump and spark plug wires on my 2004 mini and it won't turn over. you can hear the fuel pump turn on but the engine won't crank over. any suggestions?

Check the battery and distributer cap?
