I just bought a 2003 mini and I took it to the dealer to have it checked out and the oil changed. They said my oil housing cap is missing the inner parts (spring). The say it is a discontinued part and I would have toby the whole housing $550. I have been looking for parting out minis with no luck. Anyone know where I can get this part? I was told it is part #11-42-7-509-205, but i have also see it listed as 11427514988

Unfortunately, I do believe you're unable to get that part new and would have to find a used one. 11-42-7-509-205 has superseded to 11-42-7-514-988, which superseded to 11-42-7-563-522 and is the full housing. Much cheaper at that link, $209.25.
