2006 Mini Cooper R50 ABS Issue
Hi Everyone!
I am having an issue with my 2006 Mini Cooper R50 with the rear left brake caliper seized open and not working at all.
I have disconnected the rear caliper flexi hose and no brake fluid has come out. I have followed the hard line up the vehicle and disconnected in two separation locations and no fluid has come out. I have disconnected the hard line from the ABS pump/modulator for the RL feed and no fluid has come out. I have disconnected all other wheel feed lines and fluid has come out as it should. I have ensured both feed lines from the booster to the pump are providing fluid to the ABS pump and all checks out OK. I have tried multiple times to bleed all wheels using Autologic (opus IVS) scan tool and no luck from the rear left.
I obtained a second hand ABS pump and module from a wrecker with the same identical software and hardware part numbers and installed. Same fault. I swapped the ECU component from the old assembly and installed onto my second-hand purchased assembly. Same fault. It could be possible that both assemblies are faulty, but very rare especially considering both not providing brake fluid to the rear left wheel.
No fault codes are stored in the ABS module.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before and can assist?
Many thanks!
