Default If you need service in bay area / san francisco read this

I recently bought an 06 mini 100k+ miles and knew it would need some work. I took it to Edge Motor Works (very highly rated in Dublin area). NEVER AGAIN.

Very simple things + some other more complex things: $3500 total. No where do they quote what their labor is ("we just charge the number of hours BMW recommends").

This shop is MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE DEALER! If you're rich and want the "best" go here (but I dont even know what the hell they do thats different from any other place).

They wont even call you they just email you your invoice and toy you along like a number.

quote includes labor and parts

front strut mounts both: $776

Oil pan gasket $586

Custom 4-wheel alignment (keep in mind this is a base model mini - not a ****ing S or JCW:
$185

general service (oil, spark plugs etc): $375

o-ring crank shaft position sensor: $236

Thank god I got my car out of there. Bay bridge motors in oakland quoted me $530 for the strut mount replacement (both front).

Also, British & European Inc. Foreign Car Repair (683 El Camino Real is their address) is amazing. They gave me a quote for half and provide way better service over phone etc.

Thats all folks.
