The remote control built into my ignition key has stopped working - specifically the button that unlocks the doors and tailgate. When I press the Mini logo there is no resistance, like the switch underneath it has either broken or is stuck. Can the remote be repaired, or do I have to buy a new key? I can think of at least a thousand things I had rather do than give my local Mini dealer one dime of my money.
