New Mini-forum member here. Just broke the antenna on my '05 Mini and wanted to see if any forum members had experience replacing this part? The black rubber antenna snapped off leaving the receiver chips, etc exposed but in good shape. With the components still intact, does this require the purchase of a new antenna assembly or is it possible to buy the rubber antenna? Bottomline, I was curious to see if any forum members had experience with this issue and whether this is a quick fix by buying the part online or whether it necessitates a dealer visit.

The factory antenna is not rubber , I'm betting someone replaced it with an ebay special
