Hi,

New to the forum.

My daughter drives an old 2004 Mine One D(R50).
The alternator died on her and wouldn't charge the battery. As the car couldn't get into the shop immediately, we resorted to trickle charging it overnight so she could still use the car untill it could go in to have the alternator replaced.
All of a sudden while driving all dashboard lights came on and it died on her in the middle of the road. When we got there we could jump start it (started motor made a click and that was it). My daughter said she smelled something burnt under the hood.
We towed it back and I used another battery but it seems to have a short circuit somewhere; Cannot get it to start. Any ideas? Someone said it could be the body module that's damaged.
