Misfire
Can anyone give me steer on the following fault.
2002 Mini Cooper JCW tuning kit fitted (car 34 of that year)
The engine starts and drives fine then it almost seems to go into limp mode with an engine warning light and engine management light come on, turn the engine off and start again the problem is cleared then comes back again a short time later. I’ve change the coil pack, plugs and leads no difference, so I’m now thinking it might be the key/car communication. The key is well past its date & I heard/read that there was a anti theft mode that BMW fitted, diagnostics says perform EWS-DME/DDE Alignment 2/3 level torque (which I think is something to do with the anti-theft)
Throttle body is only a few months old (new) so I’m ruling that out.
Any thoughts??
