This is my first posting here and hopefully someone can advise on a thorny issue. My 2003 MiniCooper S had developed some issues with the ABS electronics. Dash light remains illuminated and the mechanic working on the car now advised that he needs updates to a rarely used software app from MiniCooper to reload values into the ABS software. A prior mechanic worked on the car and was not able to repair it. Current mechanic has experience with Mini's but not this particular issue. He has several apps from MiniCooper but this one apparently is unstable and fails often -- updates are done weekly.

He's consulted other MiniCooper mechanics in his professional network, but to no avail.

Hopefully someone can advise. Prior experience with the local MiniDealer was horrible -- took my money but did not deliver the right part -- never. And did not return my money.
