I have the checkerboard exterior rear view mirror covers. The white areas of the checkboard have started to yellow. The yellowing is mainly on the top of the cover so it may be related to sun exposure.

Any thoughts on if I can whiten the yellowed areas or do I just need to replace them.

the covers are plastic and the UV light can fade/yellow it ... replacement is the best option
