My car is a 2005 mini cooper S,130.000 mil, recently I discovered it has a bad spark plug thread in cylinder 1, question is, about how much will be a good used head and labor, any advice will be much appreciate

 

A cheaper by option would be to have a helicoil inserted.or it could also be called a thread insert.this a pre-made thread spring type item that screws into your damaged thread on you head.very easy so long as your present thread is not too far gone.$100 should cover easy.local machine shop would be my first contact.

Used in the aircraft industry and is a well recognized repair,should last a longtime.nothing wrong with them.search YouTube for some more information I guess,fully understand you need to be sure.good repair and cheaper than removing the head.
