Question high oil consumption

Hey everyone, I'm newly joined. I have a cute little r53 that I've been chasing some problems with. I would like to share what is going on to get some outside input on it.

As the title says, I'm having a high oil consumption issue. I don't have any codes coming up. The previous owner I think ran the dogsh!t out of it (even though she was an older woman.....she had no clue what she had). Since I've gotten it I've done the following: plugs, wires, valve cover/valve cover gasket/pcv valve, throttle body, map sensor, new intake filter, radiator fan so coolant flush with swap for euro coolant, the oil I've started to use is LiquidMolly 5w30 full synthetic.

I don't have much of a blue or white smoke. I have more of a black carbon smoke typically only when I really get on the gas. I do think the exhaust is a little backed up, it sounds kinda muffled so that is one thing I'm working on anyway.

I don't really have much engine hesitation (that I can tell anyway). It also starts and idles perfectly fine.

In doing my research the remaining two things that I could think it would be is valve stem seals or piston rings. I'm leaning more towards the piston rings because with the valve stem seals I don't have a blue smoke when i let off the gas or any of the other symptoms other than high oil consumption.

Also I probably get about 300+ miles to a tank and yes I use 93.

Any ideas would be appreciated!
