launching the MCS
hey everyone, still new to my MCS and still learning the car
i tried launching the car a few times but im having trouble...heres what ive tried
Launching on 3000rpm
car spins tooo much
Launching 2200 - 2500 rpm
car just bogs..and takes slowly to rev up
PS i have the standard 16" wheels with runflats
need a little help with the launching technique with the mcs please
also..where do u guys shift wen racing?? at redline? just before cut out? that would be at about 6900rpm??

It's obvious to shift before red line as the engine will cut out and stumble...
JCW makes a great shift light that is more like a bar graph ...

I'll tell you how to launch the cooper.. Gently Using your foot feed increase your RPM's ever so slightly and with a steady touch allow your clutch to engage. As soon as you are rolling let the clutch the rest of the way out as you apply more foot feed. Your cooper will love you for it.
