Noisey clutch

RE: Noisey clutch
Took it to the dealer. They aren't sure......they told me there is no damage what so ever to the inside. No Flywheel damage, no Clutch damage, no pressure plate damage. So.........they said it could just be a really annoying squeak or it could be the Flywheel and the Pressure Plate touching and vibrating up to make the noise.
They said if the noise happens more often and gets lounder bring it back.
Have you only noticed it since it's gotten cold? That's when my car started making the noise. They suggested as well it come have something to do with the change in weather.....don't know for sure.

RE: Noisey clutch
Now that you mention it, I never noticed it during the summer. But since the weather has been getting colder I have noticed more often. But not all the time, it more about how i let the clutch old, to avoid the annoying rubbing sound. I think that it maybe the clutch fork, rubbing against something. But if Mini doesn't know, what does that tell you. They don't know sh*t, and they make the car. I guess it's up to us to figure it out.

RE: Noisey clutch
I have the same sounds (called chirping)after it has been sitting for several days. There is a service bulletin out on it. We have collected several bits of information on this subjectwww.Soopercooperinfo.comclicking "troublshooting" addresses it.
