When i bought my mini on 27k the garage said they would do a oil change for free... the oil change light is now on after 10k miles does this sound right or do you think they did not reset the light when i bought it...

Check in the user manual or ask from the service provider of your car. They will tell you better.

It's NOT in the owners manual and the dealer is more then happy to do it for 1/2 hours labor so if you want to pay $50 go right ahead

Default Oil change

Thanks I am planning on waiting for the light being my first oil change is free and that when they told me to bring it in. After the first change I will be changing it myself and will probably follow the light and use synthetic.

ALL mini's use SYNTHETIC as they have a 15K or yearly interval
