R53 tyre size on JCW 18" wheels

i've just bought a R53 ( july 06) cooper works with 215/40/80 falken tyres on JCW 105 wheels.
can i replace with 225/40/18 tyres without any other adjustments and if so do both axles have to have the same tyres ?

the car is lowered with KW 35mm springs.

225/40-18 tires are a little big for your mini, I would stick with the 215/40-18. In the R53 the tires do not need to be the same size Front to rear but do need to be the same left to right.
