Default replacing grille

Hi,

I'm new so please be kind.

I have a 2006 MC convertible and love it. But I want a small change.

I purchased a chrome front grille, but can't figure how to get the old, painted one off. The supplier (Moss), the internet, and the dealer were no help.

Any suggestions?

Welcome.

Under the hood, there'sa couple little things that don't look like screws but they are. Just undo those and it pops out.

Thanks for the reply. All I can find holding the grille in place are nuts on rubber or plastic "screws." When I turn the nuts with a wrench the rubber screw turns. There's no way to hold it. I'll try posting a picture with this. Perhaps you or someone will have an idea of how to remove the ____ grille

Those plastic screw things should be molded to grille, I don't think they can actually turn. Maybe they're flaking and it looks like they're turning?

The black plastic "screws" don't turn, but the metal nuts don't screw off either. Tell me how to post a picture andI'llpost a picture so every one can see what we're talking about.

After clicking post reply there's a section right under where you type that says "click here to upload!" click that, find the pic then check the "embed picture in post" box.

boy do I feel stupid!!!!

It all clips on.NO screws! Just unclip the upper chrome trim above the grille and unclip the painted grille. Then snap on the new chrome grille and snap the upper chrome piece. Took about 10 minutes.

Well this string might help someone sometime.

Paint me stupid![8D]

I'll post a picture after I put on the lower chrome piece.
