i have an 03 cooper s, and the supercharger is making nasty growly/grindingnoises all the time, i`m guessing its just wear n tear, so im trying to find out if any supercharger from any year cooper s will fit straight on, does anyone no, or are there different types???

 

I'd have the bearings ect checked ...

 

never heard of that problem, sure its the supercharger?

 

not right sure, but i took the belt off and tried to turn the pulley by hand and it was very hard to move, but havent ever moved one befor so dont have anything to go by, so with the belt off i started her up and noise was gone, quiet as a mouse???
so was hoping it was the supercharger, it all seems to point towards it.
but my only problem is, is there any different types of chargers that fit on them? say would an 08 charger fit an 03? or do they all us the same type of charger??

also are they very hart to fit?? anyone have any pointers??

 

John Cooper works makes a twin screw supercharger, that will work on your car.

 

08's are turbo .... no sc ...
I think the 02/06's scs are interchangeable

 

I'm pretty sure that they are, only if they are using the R53 engine. Then they are interchangeable.
