What is missing from this hole?

Just purchased a 2005 Mini Cooper S. Above the windshield on the headliner are two map lights. Between those lights I have a hole where it looks like something is missing. Can anyone tell me what is supposed to be there?

Isn't that where the LIGHT for the passenger air bag disabled warning is?
