Default Advice on Weld-On Hose Fittings for Custom Cooling Setup in My MINI

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a custom cooling system for my R56 and looking into weld-on hose fittings to replace some of the OEM hose connections. I'm aiming for a cleaner engine bay and better durability under heat and pressure.

I’ve been considering weld in AN fittings as part of the upgrade, but I’m not sure what material works best with aluminum parts or how tricky the install might be. Has anyone here done something similar in their MINI build?

Would love to hear how it worked out and if it helped with performance or reliability.
