An alternative to de-chroming
I've seen a number of threads and pictures of folks de-chroming their Minis using Plasti-dip. They invariably go black. I like that look a lot. My 2011 base Cooper is Chili red with a black roof. I have checkerboard mirror caps, and black bonnet stripes with white edges.
I'm seriously considering going with white Plasti-dip for de-chroming. I'm not convinced I need to do it all, but I think I'll start with headlight and taillight rings, and maybe the grille surround and bars. Red, black and white.
Maybe somebody who's really good a photoshop could mock one up?
