On Dec 10 2016 I bought a 2017 Mini Cooper Clubman S and purchased the extended warranty with Assurant. Well since then my local dealer in Louisville Ky has gone under. On Nov 16 2019 I traded the car in for a new Ford. Here is where the experience goes bad. I went to cancel the Extended Warranty Contract. After jumping thru many hoops it will take 6-8 weeks to receive the refund. That is ridiculous. The Customer Service rep on the phone at BMW/Mini explained that to me yesterday. Amazing they want their money on time but when its time to pay back, no way. I cannot believe it takes this long. The car was paid off. Just beware when you enter into a extended warranty on these cars if you do not plan to keep. Assurant has been much less than helpful. Duck and Dodge!
