I'm new to the Forum and a newbie to the R56. I own a 2010 Mini Cooper base hardtop/hatchback with a build date of 5/10. My hood is damaged and needs to be replaced. If you look up a hood on car-part.com (which links you to salvage yards nationwide) you'll notice it groups the 07-10 hood together and the 11-14 hood together. Some people say the 07-14 hood is the same. I can get a great deal on a new old stock OEM hood part number 41617318364. Seller says it fits 07-14. If I google that part number, general information is 11-14 or from build date of 8/10 (mine was built 5/10). I always thought the second gen base hardtop/hatchback BODY was the same from 07 to 14. I'm confused! Anyone know the differences in base hoods from 07-14? PLEASE HELP!

 

They are the same its the trim part numbers that changed with the hood part numbers.
