RE: How long must I wait?
 

i was at my local dealer in connecticut yesterday to look at a convertible. they had two demo's on the lot that they can't sell or they would have nothing to show to potential customers. i was told that the only way to get one was to order it and delivery would probably be in feb. 09. i thought the salesman was kidding but he assured me he's not.

are all dealers having the same problem with getting convertibles?

We ordered our mini on 1 April 08. It was ready for delivery on 1 May 08.

Production from the time the order was placed takes about 10 days.

The boat ride to Charleston SC takes about 10 days.

Then there is the customs and loading on a transport, another 10 days.

Very happy with the mini s convertible.

Fit and finish appear perfect. No other noticeable defects. Handles really well. Got the sport suspension and premium package. Also the cold weather package.

Have the top down about 90% on the time. It's parked in a heated shop so we don't have to put it up at night or during rain.
