Default Minis in snow?

I'm brand new to Minis, so go easy on me... How are Minis in the snow? I just got my Mini yesterday and it's projected to snow late next week, so I'm curious what driving it in the snow will be like. I own a HIGHLY modded Jeep Wrangler, so if the Mini isn't stellar in the snow, I've got my transportation covered. My Jeep gets about 9 miles per gallon though, so it's not much of a road vehicle unless I can justify it with snow. It's mostly a trail vehicle only. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!

I have not driven my Mini in snow yet. But have put on snow tires all the way around. In MHO snows tires are a must on any car driven in winter weather. In my case I used studded tires. If you use a quality snow tire winter driving should not be a problem.

Thanks for the info. I'll check into buying some snow tires this weekend. The tires that are on it now are brand new Bridgestone Potenzas (G019 Grid). They're sold as high performance all-season tires. Does anyone have these tires, and if so, how are they in the snow? (I have a hard time believing there can be a good compromise with "high performance" and "all-season" ratings. It's been my past experience that you can't have both, it's either/or.)

Here's my other option for snow transportation...so it's not the end of the world if the Mini isn't that great in the snow...

Roads were covered in ice and snow this morning and the Mini handle great. I also believe in high performance tires for the summer and quality snows in the winter. When you run a compromise tire you lose both ways.

Nice TJ cavediverjc, I own a YJ myself.

But anyway, I have never experienced driving a mini on the snow without snow tires, if you throw a set of Blizzaks all around you should be all set, that is if the road are plowed. If not, just take the jeep out.
