Default Need some advice on buying used Mini cooper

Hey everyone, I'm trying to buy a used Mini cooper and there are two options that is hard to choose. One is black 2005 Mini cooper with 73K miles for 13000 and the other is blue with strip 2005 Mini Cooper S with 89K miles for 14000. Both car are automatic. I'm a college student and don't need travel a lot. Can somebody give me some advice? Thanks a lot!!

All I know is that automatic transmission had issues with some minis. I would definitely do some research on this if I were you just to be aware and what to expect from them. I would also choose the car that has lower milage and the cost. But if you like the color of blue, then that is really up to you for paying more. Blue stands out more, I have a blue one by the way. Mini stands out anyhow, so black would be cool too. Compare their interior too, you want to make sure that their car deck is replaceable if you want to upgrade someday. Best of luck!

Thanks very much!
The blue one is a Cooper S, so i guess it should have more power, but it also has 89K mile on it. I am not really good at manual trasmission driving so I will just go with automatic.

You didn't mention copper S. You would not regret it, I have manual Cooper S and I love it.

Default My 2 cents

Lower miles + lower price = best deal.

I have a base model - not an S - purchased strictly as a commuter car, and I couldn't be happier.
