Default new here and want to learn

hey guys i'm new here and i personally don't have a mini. but i'm sure you can tell me my user name i have a 02 Mustang GT. but my girl is currently looking at getting into a mini cooper. she is looking at a 2003 mini cooper hardtop with an automatic transmission. i was just hopping you guys could tell me some more about the car. is it good? it has 60k miles. how long do the little 4 cylinder motors last? all she really wants is a reliable car with low miles and good mpg. and she really likes the look of the minis. she really wants a dark blue one with the union jack on the roof.

thanks for any help

Hey 02MustangGT. Welcome to the forum. Mini are pretty good all around. Fun to drive on the curves especially if you have the supercharged or turbo Minis. I have bad news for you tho. I've heard horror stories about Minis with auto trannies going out and are an arm and a leg to replace. Teach your girlfriend to drive a manual transmission. Tell her it'll be more fun to drive a Mini that's a stick. Hope this helps a little.
