Smile Paint damage on door help

Hi I'm new to this forum but would like to ask a question. I have a very (about the size of a fingernail) scratch on the door as I opened it and slightly hit the edge of the garage. You would not notice it at all if you weren't looking but since there is no other scratch on the car I would like to fix it. Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't think I can see metal but it is scratched. Can I use a polish to fix it or do I need to use a kit? Can the paint be rubbed back a little? Thanks in advance!

I have used UC and a terry fabric towel to get out some truly extreme, scrape marks that a companion had on her Used Jaguar XJL car. It appears it was a war... Did it put a few scratches in the paint... But, the UC resolves it, with no issue. Yes, I needed to rub, and rub, yet all the scratches get off.

So I exceedingly suggest you UC for the fingernail scratches or small scratches. It will delete them all.

Get the factory touch up paint pen and then take your time.

Otherwise you could use a good rubbing compound.

I have used erapaints.com for paint touchup in the past and it worked great and a better than the factory paint pen crap. I do agree to take your time. Hope this helps. ✌️
