Picked up my new Mini yesterday
Picked up our new Mini, a 2021 convertible, yesterday and have driven about 200 miles already. Love driving this car! Might take me awhile to learn the features of the screen and all its options, but already love the Apple Play feature. The dealer, at the paperwork stage of the purchase, tried pretty hard to get us to buy two additional items. One is the extended warranty, something I have never felt was worth buying with any car that I have owned. The other is something I am not so sure about. It is a protective coating of the interior and exterior of the car and sounds like a good thing, but I am not thrilled with the $1,200 cost. I'd love to hear from current Mini owners on both these items and what their experience has been.

Not worth the money
Hi,
the interior protection does nothing it's a surface treatment that wears off in next to no time, and the exterior protection is only a polish you can do yourself with time and good quality polish, unless it is a full ceramic protection that takes at least 2 days work, save your cash, ask the dealer if it's a ceramic treatment and see him come up with all sorts of rubbish about how good his protection is.
Laugh and walk away, remember the more he sells the more he makes.
