After I came in for my first tune-up, a BMW sales associate handled my paperwork. Only then was I made aware of a pending issue....he shared, "Yeah, Minis are great, though those tires are expensive. They need to figure that one out." This was offered after I was commenting on how impressed I was with some of the unexpected technical features -- syncing with my iPhone, etc..

I paused a bit and thought to myself...well, I'm just leasing so the tire issue isn't going to affect me.

WRONG.

Here I am, after two years, facing $800 for replacement of all four tires. Just not cool.

Buyer, leaser beware.
