2007 Mini Cooper won't start -- Help Please
Hello, new member here. I have a 2007 mini cooper that I love dearly. It drove fine earlier yesterday, but when I got in it last night, put the key fob in ignition, pushed start button, nothing happened. Absolutely nothing!!! With key fob pushed in, no interior dashboard lights come on. If I push the **** to turn the radio on, it will come on. And when I take the key fob out of ignition, radio stays on. I'm so frustrated at this point. I'll gladly accept any advice given. I have no idea if this could be a battery issue...or if it is a computer issue. I was planning on having it towed into my mechanic later, but would like to have some idea of what is going on before I get reamed for being an ignorant girl. Any advice???

Today I took the battery out, got it tested at Advanced Auto and they said it was perfectly fine. Very frustrating. Called roadside assistance to come get it and take to the nearest mini dealership since it is still under warranty for about 2 more weeks. I'm in Virginia, my dear mini is in NC, and I have no idea what the heck is wrong with it. Tow guy said maybe a main fuse? Also found out that there is an open recall for the catalytic converter for it so they are going to check that out too. Guess it all works out in the end....if they can get it back up and running soon.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, adpwolfpack. Are you familiar with some of the timing chain issues the 2007 has? The tensioner is known to break and there have even been class-action lawsuits as a result. Not trying to scare you but be very happy it's under warranty.

2008 Mini Cooper S cranks but won't start
I am new to th e forum and I have a 2008 Mini Cooper S that cranks but won't start. I have checked the relays but I do not have battery voltage at the coil connector for the spark plugs, does this mean that the JBE is bad and should be replaced?
