Default 2009 Mini Cooper S timing chain failure?

Hi,

My car has been rattling pretty bad lately. It's a Mini Cooper S 2009 with 14k miles, and I have an appointment this Thursday. I was wondering if they would charge me if it's still under warranty, and I bought the car used so I'm not sure if the previous owner took the car in for oil changes, but if they didn't, would I get blamed for that? Would they put me at fault for the timing chain failing? And also do any of you guys know how long it would take them to fix it?

Thank you

The Oil change interval is 15k or yearly , so you might only have had 1 oil change

The tensioner is a known problem so I doubt there will be an issue except if it's over the 3 years (depending on purchase date)
