Had it diagnosed Friday. As I suspected it's the footwell control module. $515 for new module plus $250 to install and program. Has to be done by a shop that has the BMW scanning equipment.

If you give me the last 7 digits of your MINI's vin I can look up the proper FRM for your application. We can get it for you cheaper than $515 and you can take it to a MINI indy shop to have them code it for you.

There is this one: Pelican Parts - European Automotive Parts and Accessories - Porsche • BMW • Mercedes • Volkswagen • Audi • Saab • Volvo • MINI so you can see a pricing comparison if interested. Glad you got the issue figured out and good luck!

Thanks, but module was $499 plus $15 for shipping and my shop has it ready to put in on Friday. Your price plus shipping wouldn't have saved me much, and probably would have delayed my repair. Thanks for your reply though. I'll keep you in mind if I need other parts in the future.

can you use a used FRM? I see many listed on eBay for around $100-120. I just bought a 2010 Mini Cooper Hatchback with the same symptoms, windows and turn signals don't work. It will be delivered today, and I will run the diagnistics with my OBD MX+ and BimmerCode and BimmerLink. Can I have a used FRM module reset/reprogrammed for my 2010 MC or would I have to buy a new one? Thanks!

My FRM module is installed, and works well. Got everything working, except the XENON headlights. Ordered new bulbs, and that didn’t fix it. I found an exact replacement by the label on my FRM, look for that to fix your windows and turn signals. You can pop the side trim off the drivers side (USA) or the left side (UK) and take a photo of the label. Go on eBay and search for the number on your label. Mine was $169 shipped. Didn’t have to,reprogram it, but if you buy just any FRM, you will have to reprogram, or code it.
Not sure why the headlights aren’t working, but I have some LED replacements with the coding module built in coming, says it will adapt coding to 98% of the vehicles, and it will work to replace XENON lights in my 2010 Mini Cooper base model.
I have a scan tool coming the will do ECU coding, so hopefully it will help with the headlights.
