Default 2022 Countryman S All4

Hey all! New to owning a Mini Cooper.
To me there is a lag in throttle response, it seems like there's a dead spot in the throttle position sensor. When starting out, it seems to me, that it respond a little when first depressing the pedal and then nothing until you get past a certain point. Trying to guess what the travel is, is difficult but I would guess 1/4 to 1/12 inch then it is like "oh ok you wanna go!". Is there a way to clean the sensor and where is it? I haven't had a chance to investigate my theory. It has 27,335 miles on it.
Also, once again to me, it seems to be slightly "wandering" and wanting to track weird on rough roads. I am planning on getting the alignment checked but been too busy with work and being out of town. But it could also be that I not used to the Mini quirks. Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Rob
