air filter, void warranty?

help! I just bought a used 2006 mini cooper s, it has an upgraded air filter and lowerd suspension. My dad wants to take it back to stock.....
He thinks the air filter will void the warranty, will it??

Nah, they can only deny warranty work if the aftermarket part directly causes the failure.

dont worry about man, i really doubt that a upgraded airfiler will void the warranty.

I've used aftermarket airfilters and suspension parts in my last 2 mini's...never had a problem with warranty
