Any help on starting a 2004 cooper S that has been sitting Please??
OK, so a series of unfortunate events have taken place and I haven't been with my baby (2004 Cooper S) in about a year and a half, and no one has started it... .
Is there a specific process to follow for starting a Mini that has been sitting for this long, and if so, is it an easy do it yourself gig? I have time to spend and I'd love spending it on this project. Any tips, hints, full blown guides, or recommendation to bring it to a shop are welcome. Thanks everyone!

If it didn't have any mechanical problems before hand i dont see what the big deal is on starting the mini; maybe just ur fuel octane may be out of date. I'm sure it will turn on and idle. however, since the fuel is old it might run ****ty until you add new fuel. If you're really concerned about it empty out the old fuel with the new??

Personally if it was mine , I'd drain the gas tank , Add Stabil/dry gas and refill it with premium. Remove the battery (it's likely dead anyway) have it tested/recharged and likely replaced. Hopefully you didn't lose any computer settingsotherwise it might need towed to the dealer for a reflash
