Flat Tire Light Question

Flat Tire Light Question
I got in my Mini Cooper this evening and after driving for about 1 minute the yellow flat tire indicator light turned on, beeping once. I pulled over and checked all four tires, but none of them appeared to be flat. There didn't appear to be any nails or leaks in the tires, either.
I drove 2 miles back home, very slowly, and checked the tires again... still no sign of a flat. I've seen a few brief (but old, circa 2003) online articles about how this light often malfunctions or goes off for random reasons, but I'm not sure what to do or if it's safe to drive.
Can I take it to a regular auto mechanic for a check, or should I take it to the dealer? Or should I just wait a few more miles and see if the light goes off eventually? Thanks for your help!!
