ASC/Break Light Comes on Intermitantly on Used Mini S 2007 just bought

They seem to come on randomly, if at all. Yesterday I was driving it for a couple hours and never came on. When I first bought the car 3 days ago it was off, and then came on mid-trip on the second day. Any ideas what this may be? I checked the manual and I couldn't find this combo within the indicator section. Perhaps a failure of the auto stability control or sensor?
