Hi all,

My left side Back door on 2009 clubman won't open ....I can hear the motor sounding but the door stays shut.
Any clues on how I can open and use it?

 

It's probably the latch/gear inside that's made out of plastic either wore out or got stuck with gunk. I would try and clean it out somehow.

 

I went onto North American motoring and they had several threads about the same issue. One of the sellers ECS tuning inc had instructions to facilitate getting it open ....what a Pain in the *** doing it ......I ordered the motor and it should arrive in a week or so.

 

Lock/motor arrived today and I installed it in less than 15 minutes.....taking it out hard....putting back in easy.
