I own a 2011 clubman s, driving to work i pull a hill about a mile and a half, mile up the hill the engine light comes on, obd code reads misfire, i think its the timing chain. in sport mode normal, no code. why? have changed coils and plugs. had a walnut blast head cleaning and injectors replaced. no changes. engine code comes up misfire. can i try anything else?

 

Can I ask what a walnut blast head cleaning is? What does that cost? As soon as my engine light went off I turned around and passed my e-check! Then I just drove it a few weeks and the engine light came back on. Wish the engineers and designers of the 60's and 70's never died, who designs cars with sideways engines, I would rather have a car a foot longer and be able to reach the engine and its surrounding parts for ease of maintenance and repair, send the message up top!
