Default Cooper shooting out plumes of smoke from exhaust??

So this seems super weird to me, cause i have owned quite a few cars and never have experienced this happening. If i sit in my cooper for ... i dunno lets say 30-45 minutes with the AC running but im idling. Basically sometimes it gets super hot in the store i work at so i go sit in my car in the AC. When its time for me to go out on a delivery and i start driving my car spews out massive amounts of smoke out of my tailpipe. And it probably only happens for all of 15-20 seconds. What is the deal with that, and has this happened to anyone else?? I got my oil changed last week, so i dont see how it could be related to that.

Possible a leaky valve stem seal ? Or you have blow by from the turbo, possible turbo seal leak. When you are at idle the turbo is not under much pressure then when you gas it, it is. I would pull the intercooler off and check for much oil residue, check the turbo. Also check the valve cover PCV system, if the PCV is stuck of something on the valve cover you could be getting some amount of oil.

When did this start doing it ? How much smoke ?

Oil leaks in the turbo, maybe the engine, running very rich... many things could be causing it. What color is the smoke? black, Blueish? White?
