i'm sure its been posted and i've been looking a lot but most just say to replace the actuator. i want to make sure that's exactly what i need to do before i fork out the money. here's whats going on with my car.

the driver door will lock with the key but will not unlock with key, i can hear it making noise but doesn't unlock.

i can unlock it manually with the key.

passenger door will lock with key but wont unlock with it.

also the center lock switch doesn't do anything to either no noise or anything.

basically i can lock the car up with the remote but to unlock i have to manually use the key and then open passenger door from inside the car. someone please help me!

 

so nobody knows anything at all? i dont really know much about mini's ive only had one for a week so any info would be helpful

Its the actuators and they are not powerful enough. They get weak and stop working. What year and model do you have?
