I have a 2002 mini cooper. In the last 3 years, the fan on my engine continues to run long after the engine is turned off. The first repair required a relay to be replaced. The 2nd repair had us removing the front bumper and replacing a high relay. Now, 2 years later we are experiencing the same problem. This time we had to disconnect the battery because the fan would not stop even when the fuse was removed. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution that does not require a $400 repair each year??

 

I've not heard of the engine fan , I've heard of power steering fans continueing to run
