Parking brake cable replacing

I found the driver's side parking brake cable on my 2004 Cooper is corroded and have purchased a replacement from BMW. Anyone have any tips on replacing this before I dig in?

Have you replaced it yet? If so how much of a pain was it?
I found out that both of my cables are bad.
